Mysuru likely to host traditional Kambala buffalo race next October

Mysuru is set to host a two-day traditional slush-track buffalo race called Kambala on October 18 and 19 as a special attraction during the 2026 Dasara festival in Karnataka, India.

The event was selected after Puttur MLA Ashok Kumar Rai and experts inspected Sathgalli, the preferred venue, pending final official approval. This adds a unique cultural activity to the historic festival, enhancing local heritage celebrations for residents and visitors.
